My name is Hel and here at Purrycat Sims you’ll find my Sims 2 stories, movies and anything else to do with that particular game. This site started life as Lonely River Sims, a blog that was initially created simply to keep track of the latest Legacy Challenge I’d started. I’d tried doing this challenge before and never really gotten very far; partly due to game bugs and partly due to me wandering off in boredom and then coming back and forgetting which Sim was which and what on earth they were doing. I did notice that a lot of Simmers undertaking this challenge would write stories about their Legacy families or simply post up screenshots of important events in their Sims’ lives which seemed to help them stay focussed. Since I quite like writing and already had experience using screenshots to help tell stories (using the MMORPG World of Warcraft), I figured it wouldn’t hurt to give it a go.

Just under thirty chapters and two generations later I was having a lot of fun but I was beginning to become frustrated with the limitations of the free blog site I was using. After looking around for a while I discovered Jumba, a hosting company in Australia, were offering a limited number of free hosting plans and I managed to get what appears to be one of the last few. After a lot of fiddling around with Wordpress, PHP, CSS and a dozen other acronyms, I finallly managed to put together a site that I not only like to look at but “does the job” so to speak. So now the stories of my Lonely River Sims and future Sims stories can continue from here.

This site should work fine in Internet Explorer but I’d highly recommend ditching IE and going with either Opera or Firefox as your web browser. They’re safer, faster, and far more useful than Internet Explorer.
